Dudley-based surveillance and security specialist Zicam Integrated Security Limited has seen another year of success in 2021.

As the year draws to a close, the company is reflecting on a year of team achievements, digital advancements and overall growth.

2021 marked Zicam’s 25th anniversary; a milestone celebrated with an event in November, at which Deputy Mayor of Dudley Council Sue Greenaway was in attendance and made a speech to mark the occasion. Throughout the year, news of Zicam’s 25th anniversary has been met with support from the industry, as well as partners and clients.

And it’s not only this company news which has been welcomed with praise. 2021 marked the first year of apprenticeships being offered at Zicam, with an engineering apprenticeship programme offered through Skills for Security, as well as a finance apprenticeship, both of which have proved popular with a number of apprentices.

The team has grown in other areas, too, with new staff members Barry Gunningham and Clare Ralph joining the team as Business Development Manager and Financial Director respectively. Both have joined Zicam with years’ experience in their fields, helping guide the company strategically to further successes in new sectors. Donna Doughty was also promoted to Director following her strong leadership within the team since joining the company early in the Covid-19 pandemic as Office Manager.

Zicam offers a range of services, including the installation and upkeep of security gates and other perimeter protection solutions – a service which was brought in-house in 2021, another great success for the DHF-accredited team of engineers.

Other technical achievements have included the receipt of a Cyber Essentials security certification, thanks to Zicam’s new IT partner Mint IT, who have helped lead the company to practice expertise in cyber security internally, on top of the security solutions they provide to clients. This has been particularly important throughout 2021, which saw Zicam’s new website launched, which has seen improved accessibility, navigation and overall engagement for clients and visitors to the site.

After a momentous year for Zicam, CEO Milan Mazic is thrilled to be ending the year on a high: ““We thank our clients, business partners and followers for their continued support throughout the past year – and indeed the past 25! We’re looking forward to seeing what 2022 will bring with new and exciting projects in the pipeline already.”

With 2022 set to be another busy year, this Midlands-based business show no signs of slowing down; and pledge to continue providing high-quality security services for companies across the UK.

Zicam prides itself on providing these bespoke security solutions that exceed clients’ requirements, as well as future-proofed system design which enables expansion as client needs develop.

All equipment meets approved industry and legislative standards and complies with ISO 9001:2008, BS50132 & DD243:2002, NSI Gold and local police force policies.
