Where it started
When CEO and Founder, Milan Mazić, launched Zicam in 1996 it was because he cared about people. He saw his business connections and their livelihoods at risk from insufficient security and poor protection. Low quality CCTV, ineffective fire systems and old-fashioned burglar alarms were widespread. So he decided to change it.
Based on his ability to form enduring client relationships and an uncompromising approach to quality and excellence, he gathered a team of like-minded people together and created Zicam.
Over two decades later and with customers across the UK and Ireland, we have gone from strength to strength. We’re proud to be serving new and current customers with high quality security systems and cutting-edge technology – protecting their people, places, and assets 24/7, 365 days a year.

Our relationships with our customers last for decades, not days, because each member of our team is absolutely dedicated to providing excellent service. CEO & Founder
Milan started the business in 1996 with the tenacity and vision that has seen the business grow year on year. As CEO he is responsible for the overall operations of the company, governing our direction. He is the final decision maker for all top-level corporate decisions.
Dave started at Zicam in 2008 before progressing through the ranks to M.D. He can still talk to you about the best CCTV options for your business, but is also now busy overseeing our commercial activities, surveys and design, major tenders, and business development.
Director & Office Manager
We welcomed Donna to Zicam in September 2020. As Office Manager, she’s the contact person for all of our employees and sub-contractors across every area of the business. As Director, Donna also works closely with Dave, supporting the day-to-day running of Zicam.
Clare joined Zicam in March 2021 as Financial Director. With overall responsibility for the financial health of the company she contributes to strategic planning for business growth, assesses risk and oversees the financial performance on a micro and macro scale.
Sophie has supported the planning, scheduling, and deployment of engineers to customer sites since she started in 2018. She also employs her organisational skills to manage our suppliers and sub-contractors. NEBOSH qualified, she is responsible for processing our risk assessment method statements.
If you’re already a Zicam customer then you will have spoken to Elaine on several occasions. Since 2013, Elaine has been responsible for calling customers and booking in their security system services. She also provides excellent support for office administration and reception.
Parminder joined the Zicam team in November 2020 having previously worked for over 10 years for West Midlands Police. Her current role is generating customer quotes and supporting the coordination of our engineers. We’ll be tapping in to her extensive skills as her role develops.
Tom is an expert on CCTV, access control, intruder systems, and life safety systems. If you’re a new customer of ours, it’s likely he or Andy will be advising you on the best system for your business. He’ll then prepare the quote and specifications, making sure your specific requirements are implemented.
Andy brings a wealth of technical knowledge to the Zicam team. Having worked as an engineer for 14 years, we managed to tempt him back to the office as a Project Manager. After surveying your premises, he will use his expertise to design the right safety system for your needs and budget.
