Overview

East Midlands Gateway is a new warehousing logistics centre which is state of the art with a fully automated high bay racking area and a 45 metre tall warehouse with robotic forklifts operating inside.

The remit was to comply to Tapa A compliance (TRANSPORTED ASSET PROTECTION ASSOCIATION) due to the stored products on site.

Situation

A Zicam car behind a stop gate
This is a brand-new site, which required multiple discipline CCTV, access control and intruder alarms. Site required the system to monitor and reduce Health and Safety issues on site, increase perimeter and intruder protection and supply an overview of day to day operations.

Solution

Zicam Integrated Security liaised with site to establish requirements and advise the client with regards to Tapa A compliance. Internally and externally circa 200 cameras were installed.  This was hosted on a dedicated secure fibre network. With monitoring stations for security officers inside the building and remotely viewed in the site gatehouse.

Results

A set of red security barriers
Complete internal and external CCTV coverage ensuring site Health and Safety compliance. Intruder detection system covers the perimeter of the building to keep the site secure. Implemented an automated turnstile array which controlled staff movements and traffic flow in and out of the building.
